Macau University of Science and Technology aims to enhance and enrich students' extracurricular activities. By adhering to the educational policy of balancing academic with general education, the university promotes the comprehensive development of students, improves their various competencies, and invigorates campus cultural life. The establishment of Art Troupe and University Team seeks to provide students with a more comprehensive development and expression of their personal talents.

Based on the development needs of the university’s Art Troupe and University Teams, select some applicants with outstanding talent levels and excellent academic performance to grant them the status of elite students and sign an elite student agreement. Elite students must still meet academic performance criteria; during admission, the university will consider the specialty level and academic performance to grant different levels of admission preferences (priority admission/priority selection of preferred majors/priority scholarship awards). Admitted elite students will be assigned to different faculties/colleges for study based on their academic performance and chosen major preferences. During their studies, they must unconditionally participate in university activities or competitions and comply with the rules of the university’s Art Troupe and University Team.
